The service was excellent from the moment my wife adI entered the showroom and were greeted by all the reps at the entrance and offered assistance by John McIntyre. At no time did we feel under any pressure but he took us through all the options, explained everything fully and sourced a perfect car for us. This was in complete contrast to the reception we had just experienced at Taggarts where the salesman did not get up from his seat to greet us and was unwilling to even take our details in case a suitable vehicle became available.
The handover was well done...the flowers and refreshments much appreciated as was the introduction to the automatic features of the new car. Again impressed by Mr McIntyre.
I would recommend Peter Vatdy on an excellent service.

We collected our car on 8th June with no complaints however once we arrived home and had a proper check of the vehicle we found a couple of faults we felt should have been picked up on the 114 point vehicle check and M.O.T. We telephoned Brett, the salesman we had previously been dealing with, asking if these faults could be rectified however he didn't get back to us. We called again the next day, 9th June, and once again he failed to call back as he promised he would. On Monday 12th June we went down to the garage and eventually spoke to a manager, Ali, who was extremely helpful and assured us the faults would be repaired at our convenience, which they were. We have to say compared to the customer service we received prior to purchasing our car, after sales initially left a lot to desired. There was also a promotion on when we bought our car; £150 holiday voucher, which we were assured would be posted out to us within a few weeks of collecting our car but needless to say we are still waiting for these and will know doubt have to chase them up.
Also we were told our car would be given a full valet before collection but when my grand children were in the rear on the first day we received it they found bits of chocolate and cobwebs! A bit disappointing from such a well known company.

In an overall basis my experience has been pretty poor, which is a shame really because initially the service i received was very good, the salesman i dealt with was very friendly and his customer service was to an acceptable standard, however there were a few delays in getting the vehicle, this was partly my fault as I changed the vehicle and finance had to be re-assessed, but I feel if i had been kept more informed then these delays could have been avoided. Unfortunately I must say the aftercare service I have received has been extremely poor, on 2 occasions I have emailed the Salesman who sold me the car to query a discrepancy with my GAP insurance policy and I have still yet to receive a response and this was over 2 weeks ago. I have even been into the branch but the person I spoke to didn't even know who James the salesman was, and i didn't have time to wait about, I was told there was such a high turnover with "that lot" they hardly remember their names. So overall not a great experience, however, more than happy with the actual car itself.

Fantastic Experience from start to finish. Only issues was a dent in the car that wasn't notice but Scott has arranged for someone view this for me. Definitely will use Vauxhaull and Peter Vardy in the future.

Things could have gone smoother and finance details could have been made clearer. Car was received pretty dirty which was hard to notice on collection as it was dark.

Throughout the process the staff I dealt with were excellent and all would get a 10 out of 10 rating. The only problem I had was when I took the car home after handover and got a chance to examine it. First thing I noticed was I opened the nearside rear door and saw a large muddy footprint on the rear sill which I had to wash off. Next thing I saw was there were a lot of pieces of plastic bag and elasticated string. The protective coverings had obviously ripped off with no attempt made to remove it all. Most of it came off by lifting the headrests slightly and taking it off although there were a couple of bits which were there in there entirety. I took off several handfuls. The third problem in the back passenger area was that there was only 1 seat belt anchor point visible. I could see where the other 2 should be but they weren't there. Being new to the car I didn't know how to recover them. I looked from the boot, no joy. I put the seat backs down, no joy. My wife then noticed that there was a pull ribbon on the front of the seat which allowed us to pull it forward, find the seat belt anchors and bring them up to where they should be. Sloppy, careless pre-handover valeting.

Car looked great when collected but on driving home it was discovered that a rug stud was broken, I returned the car immediately and informed the sales team. I feel the time taken and having to return to the garage twice was excessive and a long with the time to correct the problem, although I would say a minor problem. To me it is usually the minor things that go wrong when a new car is purchased and should be handled fast and efficiently, in preparation just in case of something major later on, it builds confidence.
